The 2024 Senior Prizegiving evening welcomed 700 Hamptonians, Governors, parents and members of the Common Room to mark many of the achievements of the past year.
Recognising attainment across all areas of School life for the academic year 2023-24, over 340 prizes were awarded to boys from last year’s Fifth Year to Upper Sixth.
Among the most prestigious awards of the evening, the Fitzwygram Cup, presented to the most outstanding Upper Sixth Former, went to Harry McLusky one of the 2023-24 School Captains team. The Dennis King Cup for unselfish service to the School was awarded to Josh Hood. Josh also joined fellow School Captains James Abrahart, Vishal Saha, Leo Sutherby and Oscar Tejura to receive the Howes Cup in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the School.
Congratulating the Class of 2024 on their achievements and exceptional contribution to School life, The Headmaster Kevin Knibbs encouraged them to continue to show their typical Hamptonian warmth and generosity of spirit in life beyond Hampton:
My sincere wish is that you are leaving Hampton feeling that you have been part of a greater whole – a School family of open-minded, big-hearted and curious scholars – who have learned from one another and leaned on each other and now feel ready to go out and make a difference for good in the world.
Be personally ambitious while supporting those around you with compassion, integrity and respect. That’s the Hampton way… and I can guarantee that your next setting can only benefit from you advocating a similar culture.
