The 2024 National Schools’ Regatta saw some exceptional performances from the Hampton School Boat Club, resulting in the strongest results for the School in recent years.

There were 86 rowers in action across the three-day event with 36 rowers returning home with Gold or Silver medals. The J14 squad opened the regatta in style for Hampton School with both J14A and J14B octuples winning their events. On the second day of the regatta, the J15 rowers were also on great form clinching Silver medals for both the J15A and J15B Eights. Among our senior crews, the J16 First and Second VIIIs, and the J18 First VIII, all made their A Finals demonstrating a great strength in depth for the Boat Club.

Director of Hampton Rowing, Mr Colin Greenaway, thanked everyone involved in making the event such a success:

We’re delighted with our rowers’ performances across the National Schools’ Regatta weekend. Plaudits to our First VIII for making the Championship Eight (J18) finals. our younger oarsmen also chalked up a superb set of results and we are looking forward to watching these crews develop moving forward. All eyes are now on Henley Royal Regatta and we wish the very best of luck to our senior rowers.
