Family, fellow pupils and staff gathered to celebrate our Upper Sixth Leavers’ contribution to the musical life of the School in a superb concert in the Hammond Theatre.
Hampton’s senior musicians showcased their talents with a wonderful variety of performances, which highlighted the outstanding level of musicianship at the School. From Frédéric Chopin to Jimi Hendrix and Johannes Brahms to Duke Ellington, Upper Sixth musicians entertained the audience with an eclectic programme which included jazz, rock, solo instrumentalists and a number of original compositions.
Director of Music, Mr Daniel Roland, thanked the Class of 2024 for their superb musical performances during their time at Hampton:
Back to all newsYou only need to look at the photo above this article to realise just how many enthusiastic, cheerful and talented musicians we are saying goodbye to this year. This evening’s performances blew me away, with such variety from Chopin and Poulenc, to funk and rock. I know I speak on behalf of the whole Music Department when I say how much we will miss this wonderful group of musicians. Thank you all for all that you have done!
