Among members of the Common Room who move on from Hampton this year, we say goodbye to four members of staff who between them have chalked up 110 years of outstanding service to the School.

A PE and History teacher, and founder of the popular Adventure Society, Mr David Clarke has also overseen a thriving Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme during his 39 years as a Hampton teacher.

Mr Alasdair McBay has dedicated over 25 years to Hampton School. Alongside his contributions to the Maths department and his invaluable role on the Senior Leadership team, Mr McBay has overseen a flourishing Hampton Chess programme and in a fitting end to his time at the School, saw the Hampton Chess team crowned 2023 National Schools’ Chess Champions this term.

Mrs Elizabeth Hutchinson (UCAS Administrator) and SIMS Administrator, Mrs Anne Ghaney, have been integral members of our Support Staff helping to ensure the smooth running of the School for 24 and 22 years respectively.

Mrs Helen Booker has been a Hampton English teacher for 13 years in total and has played an important role in our partnership programme working with pupils from local state primary schools for the last five years. She also co-founded the popular Writers’ Room.

We wish the very best to all Hampton colleagues moving on to chapters new and thank them for their invaluable contribution to the School.
