Hampton School welcomed six alumni back to speak to Hamptonians about why they picked Classical subjects as their A Level choices.

Freddy Carlton OH (2014), Henry Bennett OH (2017), Will Crossley OH (2014), Ed Buxton OH (2016), Gregor Aubrey OH (2018), and Daniel Cohen OH (2013) all explained the impact these lessons had on their learning whilst at Hampton, university and beyond. The alumni have all followed different paths, and the degrees they have gone on to read ranged from Classics and Modern Languages to Computer Science, with careers including Law, Marketing and Finance. When asked by Hamptonians why they would recommend taking Classics subjects at A Level, the alumni summarised that this had allowed them to develop exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills thanks to the translation and interpretation of complex ancient sources.

Thank you to all the alumni who took the time to speak to Hamptonians, answer their questions and encourage them to consider Classical subjects at Hampton to stand out from the crowd!
