40 alumni dusted off their blades and joined 10 current students for a festive battle paddle before Christmas.

The event featured a series of friendly but competitive “low-rate” battle paddles, culminating in a sprint showdown between a top alumni eight—comprising graduates from 2016 to 2023—and the top school crew, who narrowly triumphed.

Following the on-water action the inaugural HLBC AGM took place, outlining the future of the club and ratifying the constitution. The day wrapped up with alumni of all years gathering at The Bell, reconnecting and sharing memories over drinks.
