The 2025 joint Hampton and LEH Senior School Production of Les Misérables brought the audience to its feet on every night of the show.

In the 40th anniversary year of Les Misérables, a cast and crew of 77 pupils from Hampton and LEH, supported by a superb band featuring musicians from both schools, rose to the occasion with a memorable performance of this musical masterpiece. The production brought to life the powerful story of Jean Valjean — a former convict seeking redemption — and took audiences on an emotional journey filled with drama, poignancy, and moments of joy.
From stirring solos to the rousing ensemble numbers, the talent and dedication of the pupils shone through. Stand-out performances were delivered across the board, with every cast member contributing to a truly unforgettable theatrical experience.
This production was a testament to the strength of Hampton’s Drama and Music departments, the expertise of the Hammond Theatre team, and the many staff members who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. Hampton’s Director of Drama, Mrs Alice Jones, oversaw the production and praised the pupils for their tireless commitment and outstanding achievement.
From the start to the very end, every pupil involved in the show has been nothing short of outstanding, bold and driven and I thank each and every one of them for what they have given to the production – one which we will all remember forever!

Les Mis is an exceptionally challenging piece but The pupils have risen to the challenge, Tackling the tricky score with confidence, producing performances that could genuinely rival the West End.
