Walter Bailey and Alex Green Memorial Football Matches

This year’s Walter Bailey and Alex Green memorial football matches will take place on Saturday 18 March. The matches are held in memory of former teacher of PE, Walter Bailey and Alex Green OH (2014). Many Hamptonians have returned to Hampton over the years to support the event, be that as a player or spectator.

Hampton First XI and the Old Hamptonians First XI play for the Walter Bailey Cup in memory of much-loved former teacher and respected referee, Walter, who passed away in 2007.

Alex is well remembered at Hampton, particularly for his contribution to Hampton Football and as a Prefect. The annual fixture sees Hampton School Second XI take on the Old Hamptonians’ Second XI for the Alex Green Cup.

Both matches will be played at 10.30am, with refreshments for players pre-match from 9.30am. The presentation of the Cups will take place in the Sports Pavilion from 12.15pm.
