The School is very pleased to offer current pupils an array of clubs and societies where they can learn and develop a variety of new skills and hobbies.

One such club is the Photography Club. Currently, the club is working on a new project exploring the history of the School’s uniform. Working with the School’s Archival collections, the pupils are learning all about how the uniform has developed and changed over time.

Steeped in tradition and meanings, the pupils have found the school caps particularly interesting. From the representation of different School houses in the colours of cap badges, to the honour of being awarded the ‘yellow swimming button’, current pupils have found it fascinating researching the various meanings behind each cap’s design.

However, we have hit a bit of a roadblock and call on you, our wonderful Alumni community, to see if you can help us! We have a cap with a quartered design, which we cannot identify the meaning of (see picture). Do you know what this design represents? Do you remember wearing a cap yourself?
