A “Game of fives” or “Fives, refers to a traditional British handball game played against a wall or in a court, where players strike a ball with their hands (often gloved) to score points. Hampton Pupils, seen here in this image, often played games of Fives in the courts to the left side of the School Building. As the School has developed and changed over the years, only one of the Courts remains. But the legacy of the fierce competition during  Fives matches remains.
