Hampton School was proud to host the 13th Annual Mapletoft Festival of Rugby, held in memory of Chris Mapletoft OH (2013) — a Hampton School rugby great taken from us far too soon.

Organised by the OHA Rugby Club and Hampton Alumni Office, the day began with an Alumni Sevens Touch-Rugby Tournament, bringing together Old Hamptonians for a morning of fast-paced rugby. This was followed by the Chris Mapletoft Cup, a keenly contested match between the Mapletoft XV and a Recent Leavers XV, with the Recent Leavers XV taking the win.

The day concluded with a presentation of trophies by Mrs Mapletoft, marking a fitting end to a very special occasion for all who knew Chris. His memory continues to be honoured by his peers and those who looked up to him, and the Festival remains a very special date on the Old Hamptonians’ calendar.
