Whilst Pupils enjoy their well-deserved rest over the summer break, the School site remains a busy hive of activity. One of the most active departments within the School is undoubtedly the School Keepers; who make the most of the quieter corridors to make progress on some of their major tasks. From electrical maintenance of the whole School site, to repainting the skirting boards, they work from top to bottom, ensuring that the School is in its best condition in time for the start of the new academic year in September.

Unsurprisingly, as they work their way through the School, they find bits and pieces of the Schools history. Ranging from framed photographs and old School textbooks to pieces of furniture, uniform and other curios of times long forgot. Their flagging of these finds to the Schools Archivist, are invaluable in preserving the Schools history.

One of their most recent finds is an old School flag that was flown from the top of the clock tower. This design no longer reflects the School’s current logo, which changed at the millennium. Do you recall seeing this flag in flight whilst you were at School?
